I have secured the ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) 2025-2028 as Sole Investigator.
About me
I am currently an ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of Sydney, with the Center for IoT and Telecommunications (CIoTT). I am a recipient of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA).
Education
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, The University of Sydney, Australia (October 2021)
- B.E. in Information Engineering (Honors Program), Chien-Shiung Wu College, Southeast University, China (July 2017)
Research Areas
My main research area is the error control coding for 6G and ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC). Currently, I am particularly interested in developing the fundamental theories and practical techniques for the future intelligent channel coding and decoding, using information theory, coding theory, and cutting-edge AI solutions.
Current Focus:
- Universal decoding techniques for 6G and URLLC [Paper 0, Paper 1, Paper 2]
- Fundamentals of universal error control decoding [Paper 3, Paper 4
- AI and Language Model in wireless communications and error control coding [Paper 6, Paper 7, Paper 8]
Additional Interests:
Current Teaching
- Semester 1, 2026, Lecturer, Error Control Coding (ELEC5507), the University of Sydney.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of research, you might find me:
- Hiking, exploring national parks, camping and fishing
- Football, Squash and Swimming
Fun fact: When I was in high school, I can solve a Rubik’s cube in 12 seconds, ranked 4th in my province.
